In addition to community service projects that take place on a weekly basis in the local community, UWC also encourages project weeks, where students are able to take part in a more ‘in depth’ project, whether at a local, national or international level.
These are the Project Weeks that will take place from February 21st to 25th, 2010 :
1. Abbazia Mater Ecclesiae – Monache Benedettine, Isola di San Giulio, 28016 Orta (Novara), Italy. A Spiritual Retreat: an opportunity to experience life in a convent. 
2. Padova - Team work activities in high schools and a youth centre. Group activities
about immigration, integration, interpersonal conflict, teaching English. Staying with the Combonian’s Community.
3. Val Rosandra, Trieste – Ecological/Environmental Field Work
– to include lichen biomonitoring to produce an index of pollution levels and gain an appreciation of the biodiversity of the valley combined with living in the Karstic environment. Living either the foresteria of the Corpo Forestale or Camping.
4. Basilicata, Italy – Publicising the College and UWC movement in schools and youth
organisations. Afternoon social service with young people in care.
5. Hungary (Kecskemét and Soltvadkert) – teaching English in primary schools, advertising the 
UWC movement in local high schools. Accommodation with host families and a church hostel.
6. Puglia (Bari, Terlizzi, Ruvo di Puglia, Corato), Italy
–The Puglia PW covers the central part of the region, that corresponds to the province of Bari, including the city. The aim of the PW are several and we are trying to match them all together: first of all publicising the UWC movement and our College in the area via UWC presentations in different schools of the province and the city itself, as well as social activities such as volunteering in the Poor Canteen of the city or collaborating with a volunteering association, which deals with children with social problems and difficulties in integrating themselves in the community. Another very important idea that we are working out is a meeting or a dinner with the two bigger groups of immigrants staying in Bari: the Ethiopians and the Somali. Finally we are focusing our energy on another very important aim: to get Puglia Administration to finance our school with a scholarship for the region.
7. Santo Stefano Quisquina (AG), Sicily - Publicising the College and UWC movement. Social service with local disabled people with the aim of 
putting on a show, cultural visits, environmental work. Accommodation with host families and in a local convent.
8. Višnjan, Istria – Astronomy/Astrophysics in a course organised by the Višnjan Observatory (http://www.astro.hr/index.php)

9. Gorizia or Slovenia – CISV A project with CISV (Children’s International Summer Villages) an international youth
organisation aiming for world peace through global friendship. The project involves a minicamp with the local CISV youth to discuss and using the theme of "languages" to build up new friendships. After the camp students will be hosted by the local CISV families and visit the local schools.
10. Bosnia – presentation of the SOSudan Initiative as an example of the College ideals and mission
. The aim of the project is to promote UWC ideals as well as it is a great opportunity for the participants of the project , to understand the Bosnian culture, country that is still trying to overcome the cultural differences within its territory.
The project will enable students from Bosnia and Herzegovina to have an international experience. We will present out thoughts through workshops, presentations and we will also develop the idea of a sustainable future.
11. UWC Mostar – to learn about the culture and history of Bosnia. To enhance the UWC relationships, investigation of the UWC mission 
statement with Mostar students, daily activities in UWC Mostar. Accomodation with UWC Mostar/Youth Hostel.
12. Split, Croatia - Publicising the College and UWC movement via school visits.
Aim of the 'Split Project 2010' is promoting our college as well as the UWC ideas and values among students in the city of Split. Through school visits, the project group will have presentations about the life in the college, I.B. program and World Cultures as distinctive part of this system. Final goal is to encourage students to apply for UWC scholarships and to establish strong link between Split high schools and United World College of the Adriatic.
13. Naples - Publicising the College and UWC movement via school visits. 
Working with primary schools/secondary schools. Cultural visits with primary school children. Accommodation with host families.
14. Albania (Vlora, Elbasan, Tirana) - Publicising the College and UWC movement via school visits.
Increasing awareness of the need for sustainability. Accommodation with host families.
15. 400 km Bike Ride. Promoting sustainability and the UWC movement. 
The cycling group, that consist of 8 sporty boys, will be cycling for 400 km along the Adriatic coast in order to promote school and its Sustainability working group. The destination is Rimini, a popular summer tourist destination. The group will visit San Marino on the last day. The project will last for 5 days and the average daily distance will be about 80 km making this the most energy-demanding project! In order to be physically ready, participants are practicing every weekend by cycling to various local destinations. You can follow them on their blog and/or on their Facebook group.
16. Duino – Concerts in Friuli Venezia Giulia (Trieste, Gorizia, Udine). Accommodation in UWCAD.
17. Marche, Italy – Publicising the College and UWC movement via school visits.
Social service activities too. Accommodation with host families.
18. Abruzzo, Italy – Visiting the region affected by the earthquake in April of this year.

19. Podgorica, Montenegro - Start a social service aiming at supporting Roma children with their school work. Organise Social Service workshops in the local Gymnasium to involve students in supporting Roma children.
