Armen was born in January 24, 1977 in Moscow.
Already as a 15-year old, Armen had the opportunity to work as distributor of extension cables in Moscow: this gave him a first taste of business and his first income.
Armen Babadzhanyan believes that his life had two key stages. First - his education.
In 1993, when he was 16, he won a scholarship to study at the the United World College of the Adriatic, in Italy.
In 1999 he got two business bachelor's degrees at the Amsterdam School of Business, and at the University of Plymouth School of Business. The same year, he returned to Russia and started working for ABB Automation.
This marked the beginning of the second important stage in his career. In ABB Armen Babadzhanyan held various positions - from assistant to head of the department.
In 2001, Armen Babadzhanyan became vice-president of ABS Holdings . The creation of "ABS EPI-Sakhalin"- one of the few power suppliers for offshore projects in the Sakhalin sector- can be seen as his main achievement in this new post.
Since September 2006, Armen is also the general manager of ABS Holdings, one of the mainĀ electronics and mechanics Companies in Russia.
At present, Armen is also the Head of Secretariat of INTERELEKTRO, the International Intergovernmental Organization for Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation in the field of the Electrotechnical Industry.
Armen is an active member of the UWC movement.
