UWC Adriatic mourns the loss of a dear friend and current student,
Zaid Khasro from Iraq.
Zaid arrived at the college in August 2010 full of energy and the dream of making a difference in his country and the world.
His calm demeanor and determination made him a friend to all.
Zaid's life was tragically cut short on 3 August 2011 when he was involved in a car accident while at home with his family for the summer.
We offer our deepest sympathies to his family from all of us here at the college.
Zaid was a member of our family in Duino, a pillar of our community, a community which will be ever much the weaker without his friendship and support.
He will be profoundly missed.
