We are very proud to announce that on Sunday 3 June 2012, our alumna Martina Pignatti (UWC Adriatic 1996-98, Italy) has been elected President of the Italian Ngo "Un ponte per…" .
Martina has been always an activist for human rights and nonviolence and the associates of "Un ponte per…" decided to choose her experience and passion to lead the organization in the next future. She will be in this effort with Domenico Chirico (UWC Adriatic 1990-92, Italy) who is directing the Ngo since 2009 and has previously worked in Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan and Turkey all areas where the Ngo, fully dedicate to solidarity and human rights in the Mediterranean and in Mashrek region, is operating since 20 years.
Uwc spirit is for sure part of their choices and daily commitment.
