Faces in Action

Faces in Action is an outreach project involving hundreds of Secondary School students in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and carried out by Mondo 2000, an Association of Volunteers set up under the umbrella of the UWC of the Adriatic. Students engage on a reflexion on the social needs of the area and on the possible role of student volunteer work.

The main project activities were:
- Collecting students' ideas on volunteer work. This is done during  events organized with the “Open Space Technology” technique, based around workshops that participants create and manage themselves.  During  the Open Space events, Secondary School students in the Region identify issues related to volunteer work and create a Report that includes all the themes raised and discussed by the participants.
Presentation of the students’ Report to Volunteer Associations in the Region (meetings organized in each Province). Secondary School students play an active role towards volunteer associations and get involved in their activities.
Creation of a Student Manifesto on volunteer work  presented to the Regional Authorities
Final event with all the students involved in the project activities.

Take a look at the Student Manifesto on volunteer work; and also at the MONDO 2000's brand new brochure.
