Spending two years in a UWC College is a special and unique experience for Italian young people.
Contributing to this educational project is a strategic investment for a future of peace and social development. Indeed, it is not only a personal advantage for young people attending one of the UWC Colleges, as they grow to become excellent advocates of UWC values in the world, starting from their own country.
There are 41 places available for Italian students to attend one of the 17 UWC Colleges across 4 continents for the academic period 2017-19. About 400 students coming from 17 different regions took part in the selection procedures, which ended on March, 5th .
Also thanks to the contributions made by alumni, and by the UWC family at large, in 2016 we were able to give 47 students the opportunity to study in one of the UWC Colleges with 21 full scholarships collected by UWC Adriatic and UWC Foundation and 17 partial ones.
Small donations made by alumni, parents, family members and friends financed two full scholarships which together with other funds allowed Antonella from Basilicata, Benedetta from Sardinia, and Ilaria from Lombardy to attend the Colleges. Antonella and Benedetta are studying in Duino, while Ilaria is at UWC Red Cross Nordic (see photo gallery below).
