The event marked the end of a year of social service activities and the conclusion of two projects in cooperation with a number of local schools (France Prešeren, l’ISIS G. Carducci and Istituto Tecnico Deledda Fabiani in Trieste and Convitto P. Diacono in Cividale, Udine), as well with the numerous associations that College students collaborate with throughout the year in Duino, Monfalcone and Trieste. The projects and event have received support from the Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, the Regional Centre for Volunteering (CSV) and Solidarietà Trieste Onlus.
Students and volunteers from various associations gave presentations to local school students about their social service activities, in order to make them aware of the many opportunities young people in the area can choose from to challenge themselves and engage in community service. These range from theatre and disability work, to engaging the elderly in appreciating art, to providing assistance to children from conflict areas seeking crucial medical treatment the cannot get in their home countries, to refugee work or science dissemination and musical activities for children and many more.
