The final, big day for our beloved “secondi” took place on 19 May at 10.30 am when UWC Adriatic closed its 36th Academic Year and the Class of 2018 held its graduation. The ceremony, as always, was interspersed with several extremely enjoyable musical interludes.
The ceremony began with the reading of a warm message to the students by the Governor of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Massimiliano Fedriga followed by brief addresses by the Mayor of Duino, Daniela Pallotta, and the Central Director for the Promotion of Culture and Language of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Vellano.
Paolo Rumiz joined us in Duino as keynote speaker alongside our former President, Ambassador Facco Bonetti, our new President, Ambassador Cristina Ravaglia and our Rettore, Mike Price and our two students: first-year Arjan Kochar,, from India, and second-year Radu-Ioan Stochiţa, from Romania.
The ceremony was live streamed and you can watch it on our Youtube channel: click here.
