The “Youth Inspiring Change 2018” conference is a student-driven initiative of UWC Adriatic students that will take place on Saturday September 22nd 2018 at the Liceo Scientifico Galileo Galilei in Trieste (9 am-1:00 pm). The conference programme will include workshops and presentations by UWC Adriatic students and local young speakers on how difficult personal experiences and topical social issues can inspire positive change in oneself and in the world around us, helping young people to fulfil their dreams.
Students from Iraq, South Sudan and Syria will be making presentations about the situations in their countries and their own personal experience. Others will be addressing topical issues such as bullying, mental health, racism, islamophobia and antisemitism. Workshops will provide participants with the possibility to make practical exercises on how to deal with situations such as the need for fact-checking in reading about current affairs.
Are you a UWC Adriatic student or a local student in the Friuliv Venezia Giulia region? Would you like to contribute to this inspiring event in some way? Do you have a proposal for a workshop? Don’t hesitate to contact us as soon as possible!
The conference programme and links to online registration will be available very soon!
