Veronica Lenarduzzi is from Trieste and dreamed of attending UWC Adriatic since she was a small child who used to see College students celebrating diversity in the streets of her home town with their yearly, multicultural show Peace One Day . Bright, determined and genuinely committed to UWC values, Veronica passed the selection process and was admitted to the College in August 2017 on a scholarship provided by Fondazione CRTrieste, a longstanding donor of UWC Adriatic.
In her first year in Duino Veronica stood out as a promising and committed student and as a generous, reliable and keen member of the College community. Now well into her second year, Veronica has continued to earn unanimous praise from all her teachers for her academic performance and beyond. She is commended her for being an excellent, highly motivated, conscientious and well-organised student, as well as for her proactive role in class and in extra-curricular activities and her leadership skills. After being singled out as “Ms Sporty” in her first-year Yearbook, Veronica continues to place physical exercise high up on her list of priorities and does very well in as many as three physical activities: boxing, capoeira and football.
The second year at the College is particularly demanding, since students are challenged by different academic deadlines while also having to make very important decisions about their future. Veronica has proved to be highly focused, resilient and capable of setting her priorities, which include being an active member of the College community and a friendly and cooperative volunteer in her social service. She has received positive responses from an outstanding Italian university and from two excellent ones in the U.K. Well done Veronica!
