The UWC Adriatic scholarships dedicated to UWC alumn Giulio Regeni are aimed at bringing to Duino deserving Egyptian students, selected by the UWC National Committee in Egypt. The passion that Giulio harboured for Egypt is reflected in this initiative, which provides a quality education to deserving Egyptian students who would not otherwise have access to such an opportunity. Initiated by two of Giulio’s UWC USA classmates, Lorenzo Bartolucci and Federico Torracchi, and with the support of the Regeni family, this campaign contributes to the forging of a permanent cultural bridge between Italy and Egypt.
Three students are currently attending UWC Adriatic thanks to this campaign: two through the support of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and one through individual donations from alumni and friends of the college.
With your help we can continue to give these young Egyptians the chance for a brighter future – a future founded on a UWC education.
