UWC Adriatic’s 6th Volunteering Fair – Equality

On April 9 UWC Adriatic will be holding its 6th Youth Volunteering Fair – dedicated this year to the theme of Equality. This online event will run from 3pm to 6pm and is being organised by UWC Adriatic in collaboration with:

• UWC Maastricht
• ISIS “D’Annunzio-Fabiani”, Gorizia
• Liceo France Prešeren, Trieste
• Liceo Buonarroti, Monfalcone

Once again the Fair is being organised thanks to support from Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia (Contributions in 2020 for volunteering organisations pursuant to art.9 par.1 of L.R. 23/2012), and will be an opportunity to capitalise the lessons learned during the discussions on equality conducted since the beginning of the academic year.

Furthermore, in a year marked by coronavirus related restrictions, it will provide participating students with a chance to interact with their peers in UWC Maastricht, UWC Mostar and some Italian schools in the area that hosts our college.

Topics covered in the workshops and talks in the programme are the following:

• Religion and culture
• Gender equality and sexuality
• Social and economic issues
• Physical and learning differences
• Ethnicity.

The workshops will be organised by students in the participating schools as well as a UWC Adriatic CAS partner (CLIC Trieste – Psychology and Psychomotricity).

Students wishing to participate are kindly requested to fill out this form.

On the morning of 9 April the Zoom links for the workshops and talks will be available on the college CAS Website, where further information and content will be made available over the next few days. Registered participants will receive the password required to enter the Zoom rooms they have chosen.
