A woman with glasses and a necklace smiles while standing outdoors. She is wearing an orange tank top and has her hair tied back. There are trees and greenery in the blurred background.

The College in my own words: Letizia

“I have learned what it means to be part of the world. (…) I am tremendously grateful for this.”

Leizia graduated last May and went back to her home town, Turin, but she will soon be leaving once again: to do volunteering work in either Bosnia or Iceland and then to study philosophy in Berlin. In this video she speaks about her projects for the future and what her UWC Adriatic experience has meant for her. From an academic point of view, taking new subjects has opened new horizons for her – and, in particular, in terms of personal growth. “At UWC Adriatic”, she says “I have learned what it means to be part of the world. What it really means to be me while being aware of my privilege as an Italian young girl and of the consequences of my actions. I am tremendously grateful for this.”

Letizia attended UWC Adriatic thanks to a scholarship donated by the Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo. Each year  80% of our students are able to attend the College thanks to donations made by public institutions or individual donors.
