An opportunity to connect with other UWC Adriatic friends & alumni and hear the latest news from Duino
On Friday, April 12th, the Italian Ambassador’s residence in London graciously opened its doors for a highly anticipated UWC Adriatic event, bringing together over 180 alumni and friends of the College based in the UK. It was a remarkable evening dedicated to exchanging perspectives on the present and future of our College.
We proudly shared our ongoing commitment to providing perpetual scholarships through the UWC Adriatic Endowment Fund, with a focus on increasing scholarships for refugees. Additionally, we highlighted the College’s renewed efforts to deliver an education that goes beyond the classroom, fostering holistic personal development among our talented and passionate UWC students.
The evening commenced with inspiring opening remarks by the Italian Ambassador to the UK, H.E. Inigo Lambertini, and our President, Ambassador Cristina Ravaglia. This was followed by insightful speeches from FVG Regional Councillor Alessia Rosolen, our Rettore Dr. Khalid El-Metaal, and Secretary General Valentina Bach.
We were privileged to host distinguished guests, including the Executive Director of UWC International, Faith Abiodun, Elisabeth Sutcliffe, and Henry Thomas.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us. Your presence made this event truly memorable, strengthening the bonds of friendship and the essence of community. We look forward to many more gatherings where we celebrate our shared UWC values, the power of connection, and the joy of coming together.
