A unique Christmas Concert in Monfalcone

On Sunday, 8 December, the Teatro Comunale di Monfalcone hosted this year’s Christmas Concert, bringing together students, staff, and the wider community for a celebration of the festive season.

The event, supported by the Comune di Monfalcone, featured a diverse range of performances showcasing the talents of over half the student body. Traditional Christmas carols by the choir were complemented by a mix of other pieces, including the feminist protest song Labour by Paris Paloma, Latin American dances, baroque works by Bach and Marcello, a jazz arrangement of Last Christmas, and a moving a cappella performance.

A particularly memorable moment came from a collaboration between two students, one from Israel and one from Palestine. Their piece conveyed a poignant message of unity and shared humanity, leaving a profound impact on the audience.

The Christmas Concert was a true reflection of the values of UWC Adriatic, where community and collaboration thrive. The evening brought together students from diverse backgrounds, using art as a means to unite and showcase their talents. Through music, dance, and performance, the students demonstrated how the Arts and creativity can bridge differences and foster understanding. Thanks to their hard work and dedication, the event was a success, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and connection.
