Our College hosts the National selection of the Italian National Committee for the UWC year 2025-27
Our College was proud to host the National Selections organised by the Italian National Committee of UWC (UWC Italia) for the UWC academic year 2025-27. From the 16th to the 19th of January, approximately 80 aspiring UWC students and 26 dedicated volunteers gathered at UWC Adriatic in Duino. This event marked the culmination of a rigorous selection process that began last year with the call for applications and regional selections.
The National Selections are a crucial step in identifying the next cohort of Italian students who will join the global network of 18 United World Colleges.
During the four-day programme, candidates participated in a range of carefully designed activities, including interactive workshops, collaborative group exercises, and individual interviews. These sessions provided the participants with invaluable opportunities for personal development, teamwork, and forming meaningful connections with their peers. For many, it was their first glimpse into the vibrant and diverse environment that defines UWC life.
Volunteers played an essential role in the process. Among them were alumni from various UWC schools, including UWC Adriatic, as well as some of our current students who participated by sharing their experiences and answering candidates’ questions about life at UWC. Their involvement ensured that the candidates felt supported and inspired at every stage.
Each year, the UWC Italia selections are made possible through the dedication and hard work of our volunteers, UWC alumni, parents, friends, and our Selections Coordinator, Giulia Postal, alongside the enthusiasm of the candidates themselves.
Please note that UWC Adriatic does not accept direct applications. For further information about UWC Italia or to find your National Committee, visit the Admissions section on our website.
