Students from the UWC Adriatic Finance and Investment Club during a visit to Ferrari

Students Visit Ferrari Headquarters for Exclusive Insight into Innovation and Investment

Students from UWC Adriatic recently had the unique opportunity to visit the
iconic Scuderia Ferrari headquarters in Maranello, Italy, as part of an
educational experience organised through the College’s Investment Club.

The visit was the culmination of a year-long programme in finance and
investment, led by the UWC Endowment team, in which students explored the
fundamentals of financial markets, stock valuation, and investment
strategies. Ferrari was selected as a case study for its global leadership
in luxury branding, its cutting-edge approach to innovation, and its
distinctive financial profile.

During a four-hour guided tour, students explored several key areas of the
Ferrari factory, beginning with the production floor, where they observed
the craftsmanship and precision behind Ferrari’s retail cars. The visit
concluded in the prestigious Scuderia Ferrari area, home to the manufacturer’s
legendary Formula One vehicles, including models once driven by Michael
Schumacher and other racing icons.

Following the tour, students engaged in a Q&A session focused on Ferrari’s
financial outlook, sustainability strategies, and ongoing investment in
technological innovation.

Nicola Barchi UWCAD 2023–2025), a second-year student, reflected on
the experience:

“
I would like to thank UWC Adriatic, the UWC Endowment team and Ferrari for
this incredible opportunity. Visiting Maranello allowed us to connect theory
with practice and experience the concepts we’ve been studying in a tangible
and inspiring way. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience to witness
what it means to race for passion and pursue innovation.
”

Anwen Daisy Bruten Paul (UWCAD 2024-26) a first-year student, also expressed her gratitude:

“
Thank you to the UWC Endowment Management Team for your support and feedback in our evaluations, and for helping us learn how to truly understand a company and ask the right kinds of questions. The critical analysis skills we’ve developed really came through during our visit to Ferrari—especially in the thoughtful exchanges we had with Dennis de Munck.
”

This initiative forms part of UWC Adriatic’s broader mission to deliver experiential learning opportunities that empower students to think critically, connect global ideas, and apply their knowledge beyond the classroom.
