Celebrating the generations of UWC Adriatic 2002-04, 2003-05 and 2004-06.
From 4 to 6 July 2025, alumni from the generations 2002–04, 2003–05 and 2004–06 returned to Duino for their 20-year reunion — a warm and moving weekend that blended memory, gratitude and shared purpose.
While the reunion offered plenty of moments to reconnect with old friends and familiar places, it was also marked by curiosity and care for the present-day College. Many alumni expressed a genuine desire to understand how UWC Adriatic is evolving and to support its mission today.
From an elegant Gala Dinner and informal gatherings to a moonlit concert and a heartfelt tribute to lost friends, the weekend reflected the deep bonds that connect our alumni community. Their presence brought renewed energy to the College — and their generosity, alongside the 10-year reunion alumni, now contributes to the Reunion Gift Scholarship, helping to provide a life-changing opportunity for a new generation of UWC Adriatic students.
The 2025 Reunion Gift honours Vitali and Maria, beloved College staff, and the extraordinary act of care by Ramona.
When she was a student in Duino, Ramona saved Vitali’s life by taking swift action and performing CPR. The bond formed that day grew into a lasting friendship between Ramona and Vitali, and his wife Maria.
To honour that connection, members of Ramona’s generation launched the Maria and Vitali Scholarship at their 10-year Reunion last July, also supported by the participants in the 20-year reunion. The scholarship was awarded to Sara-Teodora Hancu — a Romanian student who joined UWC Adriatic in August 2025.
