From 17 March to 6 April 2026, the Sala Veruda in Trieste will host Giovani Visioni (Young Visions), an exhibition showcasing the final Visual Arts projects of 15 UWC Adriatic students. The exhibition is hosted by the Municipality of Trieste.
Giovani Visioni is not based on a single theme and brings together fifteen individual artistic journeys, each reflecting the personal interests, cultural backgrounds and creative approaches of the individual student. The works on display range across painting, installation, sculpture, photography, video and mixed media, offering visitors a glimpse into the creative processes that have shaped these young artists over their two years at UWC Adriatic.
The students exhibiting their work come from a wide range of countries – including Brazil, Greece, Finland, Armenia, Slovenia, Italy, Vietnam, Iraq, Israel and many others – reflecting the diversity of the college community.
Across the exhibition, visitors will encounter projects that explore themes such as memory and identity, imagination and social pressures, migration and resilience, the impact of digital culture, and reflections on what it means to be human today.
The exhibition is curated by art critic Raffaella Rita Ferrari, who highlights the deeper dimension of the students’ work:
The projects were developed under the guidance of Visual Arts teacher Lorella Veglia, who describes the exhibition as “a powerful reflection of a generation grappling with identity, memory, global challenges and personal transformation.”
Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet the young artists during special sessions held on 21, 22, 28 and 29 March at 17:00.
The exhibition programme also includes two special workshops open to the public:
