Celebrating the generations of  UWC Adriatic 2013-15 and 2014-16

On July 11-13, 2025, alumni from the classes of 2012–14 and 2013–15 returned to Duino for their 10-Year Reunion — a weekend filled with familiar faces, old traditions and renewed connections. Between a game of football near Pala, songs at the Osmiza and the chance to share significant reflections during UWC Impact on My Life, the College came alive once again with stories and laughter.

A highlight of the weekend was the launch of the Maria and Vitali Scholarship, inspired by the lasting bonds of care and gratitude that define the UWC Adriatic community. These alumni initiated this scholarship and were joined by the 20-Year Reunion cohort — a meaningful way to give back and keep the UWC mission alive for future students.

The 2025 Reunion Gift

The Maria and Vitali Scholarship

The 2025 Reunion Gift honours Vitali and Maria, beloved College staff, and the extraordinary act of care by Ramona.

When she was a student a decade ago, Ramona saved Vitali’s life by performing the CPR that she had learnt as part of her service education. In a moving continuation of this story, the scholarship was awarded to Sara-Teodora Hancu — a Romanian student, like Ramona — symbolising the enduring ties that unite our community.
