Diversity is our strength

Meet our Community

UWC Adriatic thrives on affirming diversity and acknowledging our common humanity, nurturing a deep sense of belonging and connection. With a diverse tapestry of cultures and backgrounds, our staff, students and alumni contribute to creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Students

Our students are at the heart of everything we do.

Students apply to UWC to open their minds to new perspectives and discover their skills and talents. UWC Adriatic guides them on this adventure by challenging them, pushing them out of their comfort zones, and offering a wide array of opportunities. It’s a demanding experience, but it profoundly changes how they see the world.

Governance

UWC Adriatic was instituted by law (Art. 46 of the Presidential Decree dated 6 March 1978 no. 102) and set up by the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, with the support of the Italian Government, in 1982. As a promoter of culture, we are a registered not-for-profit organisation with a social purpose (ETS: Ente del Terzo Settore). The College is run by a Management Board, which is composed by the President, the Rettore, the Acting Deputy President, the regional Councillor for Education and the Executive Director of the United World Colleges (International).
